Hi, I am Christine and I own and run Christine's Cat Care, Boarding Cattery with occasional help from my teenage son, Ben. I was a nurse for just over 37 years and have now retired. I worked in many areas of nursing during this time. A lot of my nursing skills are transferable and can be adapted and used when caring for cats too.
I am an experienced cat owner and have had cats for the last 24 years. At the moment we have one 4 year old black female cat called Katie, 2 ginger tom cats called Rusty and Gingy and one little 8 year old Shih Tzu dog called Toby. Toby loves all cats and he thinks he is part cat himself! He won't be roaming around the cattery so don't worry if your cats don't like dogs!
Christine's Cat Care is a small boarding cattery in Tweedbank, Scottish Borders. It has 3 cat chalets which take 2 cats from the same household. Three cats from the same family can share one chalet but the owners need to be aware that space is limited and this can cause friction between cats. Two of the chalets have an adjoining cat door which can be left open for larger groups of cats from the same family. This allows the cats to mingle with each other but also gives them adequate space to exercise.
Your cats will be well looked after. We care for your cats the way we care for our own (who are all very spoiled!😊).
Whilst your cat/s are in our care we will provide you with updates and post pictures on our Facebook page/website to show how your cat/s are settling. We never mention any owners or cat/s names on our posts. Please let us know if you do not want this to happen.
